voituresbrulees Usually not my kind of music.
But in their are truly heavy parts I can feel myself lying in a rocky bed of monster riffs and brutal voices. And fade away.

Fiery The Angels Fell Quite an assured debut from a band I look forward to hearing from as they further develop this sound - an amazing mix of atmospherics, keys, and more traditional black and doom metal. I'm glad the production didn't take a more polished route as the rustic, raw nature suits the music perfectly, like an album found in a long-deserted cabin in the woods. Favorite track: Never Let Me Go.

Ryan Absolutely killer and heavily atmospheric black/death/doom that reminds me a lot of Worm mixed with My Dying Bride, which can never be a bad thing. The doom parts are melancholic and very gothic inflenced, the black metal parts are ferocious as hell and the death metal parts are fucking face rippers. Awesome from beginning to end. Favorite track: Never Let Me Go.

H.L. It is rarely the case that I listen to dark metal which is so original and also extremely multi-faceted. STUPOROUS plant black, gothic and death metal on a wide field of doom metal. "Asylums Lament" is somehow an obscure, mysterious, psychdelic album but often very atmospheric. The unique specialty is the frequent use of a horn, which let's me think at Sear Bliss sometimes. The most catchy and impressive songs are "Decorating the Willow Tree" and "Never let me Go"! Favorite track: Decorating the Willow Tree.

about

Asylum's Lament is the debut-album by the Dutch doom-black trio Stuporous. The music is characterised by low-pitched guitars, slow pounding drums and atmospheric keys. What is special about Stuporous are the frequently used trumpets & horns, and the extremely schizophrenic vocals that are somewhere between timid and very aggressive. The lyrics are about mental disorders, based on true events in a psychiatric facility. Asylum's Lament can be described as a melancholic and intense trip in a troubled mind.
